So Many Products!

I recently was on a good streak and got into various different campaigns through chickadvisor and influenster. For those of you who don't know what these are, let me briefly break it down for you. I will have more indepth details in another post. These two companies have different brand campaigns that allow consumers to try product from specific brands for free. In return, consumer must either give honest feedbacks or share on social media about what they're trying. So essentially marketing for the companies. I got into the biore voxbox with influenster, the dove campaign and the garnier campaign.

Let's start off with biore. The biore voxbox included two new products that biore is releasing this season. The baking soda pore cleanser and the baking soda cleansing scrub. Both uses baking soda as one of its key ingredients. What intrigued me most was the cleansing scrub. It comes in a powder form and when you go to use it, you pour about a quarter size onto your hands, add water and then apply to your face. I found that it isnt good to use on a daily basis as it dries out the skin. However, it works really well. It may seem that because the baking soda is so fine, it wouldn't work as well but it does. And I love the design of the packaging and how you can pop the top open and shut with one hand.

The garnier campaign was one that I was really interestes in receiving. Particularly the moisturizer. I love the added benefit that it has uv protection and helps to brighten the skin. The micellar water was great. It took off make up with ease and left my face feeling soft.

The dove campaign came with 5! Different products. A shampoo and conditioner, a holding spray, a dry shampoo and a hair oil. Im most excited for the oil and the dry shampoo :P God knows if I can get away with it I would go days without washing my hair. The dry shampoo really helps me to keep my hair looking clean.

Influenster: imPRESS Manicure Canada Voxbox

As I'm typing this... I am wearing the imPress Manicure nails by Broadway Nails. I got these in the latest Voxbox from Influenster! I have received these before in a previous voxbox, but hadnt really given it a second thought to use because I wasn't a fan of stick on nails. My experience with the essie ones weren't that great.

In the box there was two packages. They aren't the prints I would normally get, as I would prefer solids and keeping it safe. But out of the two, I'd say I liked the zebra print better.

I have to admit, the application was a breeze... It took me less than five minutes to get them all done. I liked that they provided you with a lot of the nails at various different sizes to accommodate those with different nail beds. But I'm afraid that's about all that I love.

They felt too plasticy and bulky on my fingers. I made the mistake of putting them on right before bed and by morning two of them had fell off already. Good thing for those extras.

I think these are really good quality stick on nails but because I personally am not a fan of stuck on stuff... I would not go out and buy these myself. Even if they are better than Essie.

EDIT. Within an hour of typing all this, two  more nails have fallen off. I really don't think they're durable for day to day use. These are probably more appropriate for special outings.

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes :)

L'Oreal Mystery VoxBox Brand Revealed! Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser

Two weeks ago, I came home to a surprise package in the mail. I had been selected to receive a mystery VoxBox from Influenster which now turns out to be Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser!

What an amazing surprise. I really liked the smell that it gave off and since I normally use the brand already, I was more than happy to know that it was an affordable and reliable brand. This time they also included Strength Reconstructing Butter, which is suppose to strengthen the hair.

After a few uses now, I've already noticed I have less split ends, and considering how long my hair is.. there was quite a bit.

I've yet to try the butter yet, however I am dying to give it a go. I will post more on it in the future. I definitely think this product line is worth the price, which currently retails at an average of $5.99 each, which is REALLY affordable!

You've Got Mail!

I don't usually get anything in the mail anymore because I'm on a "NO BUY" kick. I have long since cancelled all my beauty subscriptions in an attempt to dwindle down the many beauty products that I have.

Today, after coming home from dinner with a friend, I noticed a package on the kitchen table. It was addressed to me! I took a second look and it was the Mystery VoxBox!

I was really surprised to receive this in the mail because when I filled out the questionnaire, it had said I did not match what they were looking for and for me to try again. Thus this was completely unexpected. Nevertheless I was really happy to receive it.

I opened up the box to find three generous sample size bottles. It consisted of a shampoo, a conditioner and a split end serum.

The card indicated that this is part one of two boxes, where the second box will reveal the BRAND from L'Oreal that this set is from. I can't wait to try, especially since I have horrible split ends!

Have you received your VoxBox yet?

Maple VoxBox!

A couple of weeks back I received an email from Influenster telling me that the VoxBox was now available in Canada. Sign up was due within days and when I had read the email, I was already past the sign up date. But I figured it never hurts to try since the sign up sheet was still running.

Fast forward to two days ago, as I got home from work, my mom told me I had a small package waiting. I expected it to be a trade I had made, but much to my surprise, I got the VoxBox!

Whenever I get these things in the mail its like I’m a kid in a candy store. I love opening up presents.
Inside, was an assortment of goodies, both edible and non-edible. As I type, I’m eating one of the Ice Breakers Duo mint.

I stuffed all the edible products in my purse so that when I get hungry, I can just pull them out and have something to snack on. The snacks, besides the Ice Breakers Duo in Raspbery, are both Skinny Cow brand. One is the milk chocolate dreamy Clusters, while the other is a wafer bar called "Heavenly Crisp".

The product I'm most excited to try, however, is the Montagne Jeunesse mud mask! I'm a fan of masks so this will definitely be something to write home about ;)

To be honest though, besides that, I'm not so excited about the other three. They are the NYC BigBolf Mascara and Lip Gloss and Broadway imPress nails. Its not that the products aren't good, its just 1. I have too many mascaras, 2, I'm not a huge lip product person, and 3 I suck at applying nail stickers. they end up bumpy and peeling. :(

Overall, I'm happy, but I'd rate this box a 3/5
